The BGSHRM chapter was formed in 1957 and is comprised of approximately 300 human resource professionals in the Lexington-Bluegrass area. Bluegrass Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management Receives Prestigious SHRM Award for Advancing the HR Profession
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) recently awarded the Bluegrass Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management its prestigious EXCEL Silver Award for Bluegrass SHRM’s accomplishments in 2015.
“SHRM rewards chapters and councils that demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing the human resources profession through service to the community, local networking and professional development activities,” said Henry G. (Hank) Jackson, president and CEO of SHRM. “Advancing the HR profession is at the heart of what SHRM does and Bluegrass SHRM’s work this year helps us further showcase that mission.”
Scott Hutchinson, BGSHRM President for 2015, said that “For the year of 2015, the BGSHRM Board committed to provide value to our membership by providing topical and timely continuing education opportunities at our monthly meetings. We also dedicated our efforts to partnering and supporting local community based organizations.
