Please join us for our May Chapter meeting!

Did you know that the EEOC recovered over $400 million dollars last year in claims of wrongful termination, harassment and discrimination, and negligent hiring??? Want to be sure your company doesn’t become a 2014 statistic??

Come to the May BGSHRM meeting to learn about recent changes with the EEOC as well as emerging issues that will be challenging HR professionals in the very near future. ADA amendments, managing social media in the workplace and LGBT issues are changing the business landscape quickly and, as HR professionals, our organizations are counting on us to respond rapidly and competently when faced with employee issues and complaints.

Toni Ahl, EEOC Senior Investigator, has worked in the field for over 30 years investigating claims and bringing them to resolution. She will share with us what organizations can and can’t do in terms of social media (can I check a candidate’s Facebook page?) facing LGBT issues and more.

This program has been approved for 1 HR (formerly General) HRCI credit.
