David Baumgartner, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, SSGB, CNA


David, has been in the HR field since 1995, primarily in healthcare.  Joined Signature Health’s predecessor in 1999 serving in various leadership and special projects roles.  He is currently the Vice President of Spirituality and Sacred Six where he coordinates implementation of the processes that hardwire purpose driven culture driving employee and customer experience.  In 2004 began a HR consulting practice with his wife/partner of 32 years. 

He holds certificates SHRM-SCP, SPHR, Six Sigma Green Belt and a Net Promoter Certified Associate (NPS).  He is a Certified Nursing assistant (CNA), he attended Midway College Business Administration with and Entrepreneur concentration. 

David has been married to his wife Karen for 33 years, has four (4) children with two (2) married, and two (2) grandchildren.

Leslie Moore


Leslie C. Moore is a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky who moved to Lexington in 2003. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Masters degree in Psychology, Leslie has been in the recruiting field for 6 years. While working as an adjunct psychology professor for the Sullivan University system, Leslie began headhunting for a national recruiting company. Leslie is currently employed by Precision Staffing, Inc. – a locally owned, independent staffing and recruiting agency serving the Bluegrass Region for 35 years. As business development manager, Leslie applies her recruiting background and expertise in psychology to provide consultation, education, and recruiting services to business in the Central Kentucky region.


Leslie enjoys running, cooking, and enjoying newlywed life while residing in downtown Lexington. A member of the Junior League of Lexington and involved in fundraising and volunteer efforts with several non-profit groups, Leslie strives to bring together a variety of local organizations to collaboratively build a strong, enriched, and robust Lexington community.

Johnnie Williams, PHR, SHRM-CP

Johnnie started her HR career in banking in 1979.  She held several positions in that industry until 1996 when she moved into an employee benefit role with Fayette County Board of Education Insurance Department.  She began working at Bluegrass Family Health now Baptist Health Plan in September 1999.  She is currently the HR manager.

She has been a member of Bluegrass SHRM 10 years where she served as Diversity Chair and President-Elect.  She earned her PHR Certification in June 2009, SHRM-CP Certification in February 2015 and is a member of National SHRM. 

In her spare time, Johnnie enjoys football, basketball and spending time with family and friends.  She has one daughter and son-in-law.

Secretary/Business Manager

Angela Keene, PHR

Angela received a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University.   

Angela lived in Louisville for 19 years and worked for various companies from non-profits to start up technology firms. She spent several years in Marketing/ Communication and Training roles before moving into Human Resources. She has been a Consultant to major Universities and Fortune 300 and 500 companies on I-9 compliance, employment verifications, and electronic onboarding systems. While in Louisville she was a member of the Louisville Chapter of SHRM and served on the Communications Committee and maintained the job bank and LSHRM blog.  She moved to Lexington in 2014 to work for Eastern Kentucky University as an HR Consultant.

She is currently employed as the HR Manager for the College of Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky. She holds the PHR and SHRM-CP certifications.

Angela currently resides in Lexington with her husband, Joe.

Professional Development Director

Beverly Clemons

Beverly Clemons has more than 20 years experience in Human Resources Consulting specializing in outplacement and career transition services, professional search and recruitment, employee climate and attitude surveys, behavioral assessments, hourly and salary compensation design and analysis, wage and benefits administration, and general human resource consulting. She has worked with many companies and clients in various industries including manufacturing, non-profit agencies, financial institutions, health-care providers, internet-related companies, and many others.

In addition, Beverly is involved with a number of charitable causes and served on the Entrepreneurial Committee for the Governor’s Task Force on the Economic Development of Women in the state of Kentucky, and recently served on the Business Advisory Board for Midway College.

Barbara Aker


Barbara has over 20 years of Human Resource experience in finance, staffing, automotive and electronics manufacturing.  Her experience includes talent acquisition, employee relations, training/development and benefits administration.  She gained her experience at Kemper Financial Services, Manpower, NI Autowindow Systems and Creation Technologies. 

Barbara currently works for More Than A Bakery as the Family Pride Manager.

Barbara is a film enthusiast and has a B.A. from Columbia College Chicago. She lives in the quaint town of Wilmore with her ballet loving daughter, music loving spouse, and her loyal (and slightly neurotic) dog.

LaRellen Jones, PHR, SHRM-CP


LaRellen is currently the Human Resources Manager at Family Practice Associates of Lexington.  Out of her 12 years at FPA, 8 years has been in Human Resources where she has gained experience in recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, OSHA, credentialing and accounts payable.

She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutrition in 2005 from the University of Kentucky and maintains her certification as a Professional In Human Resources (PHR) and SHRM-Certified Professional.  She is also an active member of National SHRM.

LaRellen is a Lexington native and is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.  For fun, she enjoys shopping, hanging out with friends and family and cheering on the UK Wildcats and the Cincinnati Bengals!

Jaime (Horne) Lisk


Jaime Lisk is a consultant on staff at Hanna Resource Group, a Lexington-based company which delivers human resource management strategies and solutions for organizations. Prior to  joining HRG, Jaime served as Director of HR for a long-term care management company in Kentucky, as well as carrying out projects and consulting work for a variety of healthcare organizations.  Her experience includes benefits administration, engagement, training, change management, compliance and survey administration. 


She earned a Master's in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Georgetown College. 

For fun, Jaime loves to spoil her Newfoundland, go to concerts, and spend time with family and friends.

Kelly Carter

Kelly Carter has been a member of BGSHRM since 2005 upon relocating back to Lexington from Columbus, Ohio.  While living in Columbus, Ohio, Kelly was a member of the Human Resources Association of Columbus Ohio and served as Vice President and President of the Columbus Compensation Association. As a member of the BGSHRM organization, Kelly has served as Past Programs Director.

Kelly is currently the Director of Human Resources at Tempur Sealy International Inc.  Prior to her current role, Kelly was the Human Resources Manager at and held HR leadership positions with Hyatt Hotels and Sears, Roebuck & Co.

Kelly received a BA Degree in Business Administration from Transylvania University and earned her Masters in Business Administration from Ashland University.  She received her PHR in 1997 and SPHR in 2006 and her SHRM-SHP in 2016. Kelly has been active in the community as a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, God’s Pantry Board of Directors and the Bluegrass Farms Chaplaincy Board of Directors. She currently volunteers her time at her alma mater, Transylvania University as a Sorority Chapter Advisor.

Amanda Sutton, SHRM-CP

Amanda relocated from South Bend, Indiana to Lexington in June 2014. Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Purdue University [2010] in Communications/Human Relations.  Prior to relocating to Kentucky, she was employed by the Sterling Group (a property management company) for 4 years and served in several roles including Recruiting Coordinator and Human Resources Coordinator. She is currently employed at the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government as a Human Resources Generalist.


Amanda is a National SHRM member, served as the College Relations Director for the Michiana SHRM Chapter and previously served as the Co-Communications Director for Bluegrass SHRM from 2015-2016 (2 years).


Amanda was member of the Purduettes, a Purdue all-women’s chorale ensemble.  She also enjoys hiking, reading, baking, traveling, and anything to do with her golden retriever, Oakley.

Mauritia Kamer

Mauritia is a Member with Steptoe & Johnson PLLC where she counsels employers on preventive practices to minimize workplace disputes, including advising employers on issues relating to employee handbooks and policies, employee relations, internal complaints and investigations, FMLA and ADA issues, as well as other employment issues that employers face. She also provides training for attorneys, executives, human resources professionals and managers on best EEO practices, preventing harassment/discrimination and avoiding litigation claims. She also provides advice relating to I-9 compliance, corporate best practices during the hiring process and emerging federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Jennifer Taylor

Jennifer (Criggall) Taylor has over 17 years of Human Resource experience in the professional services, construction, and manufacturing industries.   Her experience includes employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, recruiting, and performance management.


She is currently the Director of Human Resources at AMR Management Services, a 2017 Best Place to Work in Kentucky. Jennifer has been an active member of Bluegrass SHRM as both a member and past volunteer leader (Secretary, Foundation Chair, and Best Places to Work / State Conference Chair).

She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and received her PHR Certification in December 2000.


Jennifer lives in Lexington with her husband, young daughter, and golden retriever.   She enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Amanda Huddleston

Amanda is Executive VP of People Plus Inc – a local, family owned staffing and recruiting firm, has over 15 years of human resource experience.  Amanda has served as Secretary, President-elect, President and Past President of the BGSHRM chapter in recent years.  She currently holds the role of Membership Director for KYSHRM.  Her additional board experience includes:  The Rotary Club of Lexington (former board member), Rotary Club Endowment Board (current member) and the Kidney Health Alliance of KY (former board member).  

Amanda has also volunteered with Junior Achievement and assisted multiple local colleges with mock interviews and resume building.  She believes her passion for students, her HR knowledge and her previous board experience will make her successful in the Student Relations role for BGSHRM.  


Amanda currently resides in Richmond KY with her husband, two boys and one furry four-legged son named Gibson.

LeeAnne Mantz, PHR


LeeAnne was employed as a Human Resource Representative at 3M in Cynthiana. Prior to that role, LeeAnne spent 20 years in accounting, payroll and human resources at various companies including Hanna Resource Group, Creative Lodging Solutions, Lexmark and Adecco.

LeeAnne graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from Midway College in 2009. She had been a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) since June 2012.

LeeAnne is survived by her husband Russell, three daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 2 cats. Her many interests included: her family was number one, followed by her bible study group, movies, reading and traveling. LeeAnne will be greatly missed.

Flo Campbell

Flo Campbell is a Consumer Experience Consultant in Humana’s Lexington, KY Sales Market office. She came to Humana in 2005 and has served in several roles in operations and sales. She has her MBA and multiple AHIP designations. Prior to working at Humana, Flo worked in Management in the Payroll/HR/Benefits area for many years and understands the client perspective. 

As a Consumer Experience Consultant she helps employers create a culture of wellness. She is faculty certified with WELCOA and uses their resources to help groups set up wellness committees, bring in speakers, create wellness events including health fairs, 5ks, lunch and learns, and biometric screening events. She provides guidance on Humana’s Wellness Offerings to her Brokers, Groups, and Members. Her client list includes such accounts as KMSF, CMWA, Pepsi, Hilton, and Appalachian Regional Healthcare. She has achieved Platinum Status with Go365 for multiple years and is passionate about the program. She is a licensed health agent with the Kentucky Department of Insurance. 

Workforce Readiness Director

Michael Gilbreath

Michael is a subject matter expert in technical staffing and talent acquisition with a record of success in Fortune 500 and agency environments and is currently working with an industrial services provider to the automotive industry based in Lexington, KY.


With over 20 years of experience consulting with senior leadership to define and execute strategic workforce plans and coaching senior management, Michael’s expertise spans a career working with companies including McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, SAIC, BAE Systems, Deloitte & Touche, Conexant and Tesoro.


Michael holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A from the University of Phoenix.
