Compassion Fatigue and Burnout

Hindsight doesn’t have to be 2020! Let’s kick off the New Year staying ahead of what burns us out! No matter what your top stressor at work as you start this New Year, this presentation is for you! We will provide you the clarification of what Burnout and Compassion fatigue are, the tools and resources to help support yourself or others and a road map to keep you on track. This will be one New Year’s resolution you will happily and easily keep!


Objectives

  • Understanding what Burnout and Compassion Fatigue are, including common symptoms.
  • Identify the degree you are at risk or suffering from Burnout.
  • Identify the real cause of Compassion Fatigue and Burnout including ways to successfully combat them.
  • Learn how to use and apply your new skills and knowledge to improve your work life balance as well as helping others improve their skills to identify and combat compassion fatigue and burnout for themselves.

Community Outreach Partner and Food Drive!

Request to bring in canned goods and non-perishable food items (cereal, pasta, rice, etc). January is the lowest month because it is after the holidays so any items you can bring would be extremely helpful!

(8 days prior to Chapter Meeting due to catering needs)!

Substitutions are allowed; however, the non-member rate may apply. Requests for transfers must be made at least seven days in advance, as BGSHRM pays the venue based on the numbers of registered attendees. Please submit your request via email tocommunications@bgshrm.org. No refunds or transfers of fees will be made after the date of the event.
