Please join us for our June Chapter meeting!

No matter how much we try to avoid it, conflict is inevitable. The chapter meeting will focus on conflict concepts, how conflict affects working relationships, and a discussion of five conflict styles as defined in the Thomas-Kilman Conflict Mode Instrument.

Presenter: Dr. LaVena Wilkin

Dr. LaVena Wilkin is the Director of the PhD program at Sullivan University. Previously she served as the Dean of Conflict Management programs at Sullivan University. She has been with Sullivan since 1999 when she became an adjunct instructor for the College of Business. Before joining Sullivan University, Dr. Wilkin spent twenty-six years in the construction industry, and three of those years she co-owned a masonry sub-contracting company, with sales in excess of $2 million annually. Dr. Wilkin is the Treasurer for the Leadership Council at Unity Church of East Louisville and serves on the Board of Directors for the Society for the Prevention and Aggression Among Adolescents (SPAVA).

This program has been approved for 1 HR (formerly General) HRCI credit.
