The purpose of the Job Club is to provide a positive environment for motivated job seekers to meet, connect, share and learn. The free group is open to the public and meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, from 9:00–10:15 a.m. at the Fayette County Cooperative Extension office, 1140 Harry Sykes Way (formerly Red Mile Place), Lexington, KY. The University of Kentucky (UK) Alumni Association, Fayette County Cooperative Extension Services, and UK Human Resources Staff Career Development collaborate to bring this service to the community.
Central Kentucky Job Club Needs
Sharing of your company job announcements/recruiting needs: We invite BGSHRM members to include the Central Kentucky Job Club when promoting their professional level hiring/recruiting needs. Email the information to Caroline Francis (cfrancis@uky.edu) to be announced at our meeting or attend and present your hiring needs in person. You may attend the entire meeting our just drop in at 10 am and we will give you the floor to share your hiring needs and meet with potential candidates.
Speakers & Panelists: Since we rely upon community volunteer presenters, we need speakers on job searching, interviewing, resume writing, LinkedIn, and professional development topics as well as panelists who could chime in on workplace and employment related topics.
Resume Reviewers: Twice each year we offer free resume critiques. This would be another place where BGSRHM members could be of assistance.
