  November Chapter Meeting:
Inclusion Solutions for the Workplace & Community
Speaker: Michele Shelton

Shhh…You Can’t Say That?!?
How to Effectively Speak Diversity

Have recent movements and issues regarding race, gender and national origin caused you and your colleagues to pause before you speak? Are you looking for more insight on how to create an inclusive culture without offending? Join us as we explore the realities and repercussions you will face while managing human relations in today’s workplace.

In this session, you will:

  • Discover the implications of social movements for the work environment
  • Develop strategies to address unconscious bias and minimize exclusion
  • Identify standards for measuring your D&I status
  • Navigate crucial conversations to take your D&I strategy to the next level

About the Speaker:

Michele Lawlis Shelton is not just another diversity speaker and trainer. She is a published thought leader, trusted consultant, and highly respected coach for business and community leaders who are ready to take your "people systems" to the next level. Her career of almost 20 years includes expertise leading strategic initiatives in human resources, organizational development, and serving in roles on both sides of the aisle, as a former EEO investigator and state director of diversity. Michele's candor, unique insight, and innovative approaches make her a value-added performance consultant for her clients and an audience favorite at conferences, retreats, and corporate events.

This session has been applied for CEU with SHRM and HRCI.

They are hosting a Reindeer Express Donation Drive that supports the children that would otherwise not have a Christmas. Chapter Members are encouraged to bring toy donations to the November 13th meeting or you are welcome to host a drive within your organization and donate by December 14th.
