Topic: The COVID-19 Recession: How the Pandemic has Affected Kentucky Economy and Economic Outlook
In March 2020, the pandemic abruptly ended the longest running economic expansion in history. In this presentation, we will examine how the pandemic affected Kentucky’s economy focusing on major economic indicators such as output and employment. We will discuss how the economic recovery is progressing and factors that could affect the pace of recovery over the next year.
Attendees will learn about how employment across different sectors in Kentucky has changed with the recession and how the economy has affected the state’s labor market.
