Associate with National SHRM Membership - $50.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Individuals who do not meet the Professional Level qualifications, but who demonstrate a bona fide interest in Human Resource Management for the purposes of the Chapter, are actively engaged in an entry-level HR position that is not covered in the Professional Membership requirements or are a member of National SHRM.

Only Associate members who are National SHRM members may vote or hold office.

Associate without National SHRM Membership - $75.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Individuals who do not meet the Professional Level qualifications, but who demonstrate a bona fide interest in Human Resource Management for the purposes of the Chapter, are actively engaged in an entry-level HR position that is not covered in the Professional Membership requirements or are a member of National SHRM.

Professional with National SHRM Membership - $50.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments a) Actively engaged in exempt level Human Resource management or administration with at least three years exempt level HR experience; or
b) Currently certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute; or
c) On faculty with three or more years experience holding assistant or full professor rank in HR, or
d) Attorneys-at-Law (engaged in Employment Law), and
e) Active member with National SHRM

Professional members may vote and hold elected office in the Chapter.

Professional without National SHRM Membership - $75.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments a) Actively engaged in exempt level Human Resource management or administration with at least three years exempt level HR experience; or
b) Currently certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute; or
c) On faculty with three or more years experience holding assistant or full professor rank in HR, or
d) Attorneys-at-Law (engaged in Employment Law)

Professional members may vote and hold elected office in the Chapter.

Student - Free Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Individuals engaged in taking the equivalent of at least six (6) credit hours per term in a degree-seeking program and who meet all of the following criteria:

a) Individuals who have taken or plan to take coursework which supports a demonstrated interest in the field of Human Resources Management.
b) Individuals who are not employed full-time in an exempt position or as an officer on active-duty with the U.S. Armed Forces. (Exempt employees and military officers are not eligible for student membership in the Society.)

Student members do not have voting rights and may not hold office in the Society.

Officer - Free Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments All officers (President, President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary/Business Manager) shall receive free meals and dues during the active terms.

Board Member - Free Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments All Board Members receive free registration during their active board terms but still must pay for meals.

Past President - Free Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments All Past-presidents will be considered lifetime members without further payment of annual dues (meals/meeting fees are still required).

Retired - Free Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Professional or Associate members with three or more years of Chapter membership who retire from their full-time employment will be designated as lifetime Retired Members without further payment of annual dues (meals and meeting fees are still required).

Retired Members may not vote or hold office.

Members In Transition – No Cost

BGSHRM is here to help you and provides a ONE-TIME membership renewal or enrollment at no cost to active members who are involuntarily unemployed. Members in transition are responsible for any monthly chapter meeting they register to attend or other special events. To register as an in transition member, please contact our Membership Director at membership@bgshrm.org.
In Transition Membership may not extend beyond twelve months.
