Tammy Peyton is a Kentucky native from Rockcastle County, Kentucky. She received her Bachelors Degree from Berea College and has over 15 years of Human Resources and Environmental Health and Safety experience across a variety of industries. She is currently the Health & Wellness Specialist for US & Canadian Benefits at Novelis, a role she has held since 2025 and was previously the Benefits & Communications Specialist for US & Canadian Benefits from 2021-2025. Novelis is a producer of flat-rolled aluminum products and the world’s largest recycler of aluminum.
Prior to her corporate roles, Tammy served at the Novelis Berea facility as the EHS Assistant and Novelis Neighbor Coordinator. In 2018, she became a state‑registered Certified Nursing Assistant. Alongside her human resources work, she actively supports community outreach throughout the Novelis service region as part of the Novelis Neighbor Corporate Social Responsibility program.
Tammy currently holds three Board of Director positions. She serves on the EKU College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Dean’s Development Cabinet. Since 2023 she has served on the Women in Manufacturing Kentucky Chapter, as a Social Media Director and Events Lead for the chapter. In 2025, Tammy joined the BOLD Leaders Collective A community designed to unite, inspire, and empower women to embrace their potential and make a meaningful impact in the world. In 2025, she also proudly joined the Bluegrass SHRM Board where she served as Student Relations Director and for 2026 she is now serving as the BEST PLACES TO WORK & STATE CONFERENCE DIRECTOR. Tammy was also named as the 2026 7th Annual BGSHRM SHRM-CP/SCP Certification Scholarship Recipient and 2025 Empowering Women in Industry- Industry Advocacy award nominee.
Through these roles and her extensive volunteer work, she is a strong advocate for women in Education, STEM, HR and Manufacturing—especially in rural communities.
In her free time, Tammy enjoys volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, FIRST Robotics, American Heart Association, the Salvation Army, and various other nonprofit organizations. She also remains dedicated to promoting physical wellness in her community. Tammy resides in Lexington with her family.
